Lightning McQueen

I got asked to do a Disney's Lightning McQueen cake and was super excited. I have been wanting to try this out but I must admit I was a bit worried that it wouldn't look like in the movie but in the end I surprised myself. 

This was after I had carved the cake and crumb coated it. The carving wasn't to hard but I wasn't to sure it it looked like my mini example. The cake was vanilla with vanilla buttercream.

Okay I might be getting closer. It does look like a car and it is red so I can say I am on the right track! ^_^

Much better! All I needed were the final touches to make it look like Disney's Lightning McQueen. I did replace the #95 with the #1 since the birthday boy was turning 1 plus they asked me too. 

In the famous words of Lightning McQueen himself, Ka-chow!
