I got to do a birthday cake for a sweet little boy who loves Ghostbusters and just in time to honor the Ghostbusters 30th anniversary. What perfect timing! I decided to do a recreation of a classic scene from the movie. Hope it work out in my favor. Lets get started with this Ghostbusters cake. To put me in the mood I played the ghostbusters theme song. If there's somethin' strange in your neighborhood Who ya gonna call? Ghostbusters! If it's somethin' weird an' it don't look good Who ya gonna call? Ghostbusters! I ain't afraid o' no ghost I ain't afraid o' no ghost I stared with the main Ghostbusters building. You can see the other buildings right under it. Doing my research. Making sure I get the building correct. Now it's starting to come together. (Still paying the theme song) I can't forget the details. YAY!
Here is goes the cake in all its glory! It was huge! The tallest building stood slightly over 2 feet tall. With all the figurines, vehicles, marshmallow man and building you can best believe I didn't get much sleep. But, I was one happy girl once it was delivered. I ended up paying the Ghostbusters theme song over and over till the cake got completed. Its safe to say it will be a while before I listen to the theme song again. Haha. I ain't afraid o' no ghost!

I was making a T-rex face for a cake and found it quite fun. He doesn't look like much with out his scary teeth. Well actually he looks a bit funny. Watch out, this T-rex will gum you to death. Haha. Poor guy, he needs some sharp pearly whites. Ahh, thats better! After the teeth were added and some shading was done he was looking a lot scarier but something was missing. . . Hmmmm I figured out what it was. Silly I know but it was the white dot on the eye that made T-rex come alive for me. This is how he ended up looking on the cake. Love how fierce he looks. Watch out this cake just might bite back. Happy Birthday Alijah & Adrian.
