I also did a wedding cake for the end of February. The colors were white and lime green. At first I was wondering how it would all come together but in the end I loved it. I wanted to keep it simple and clean. This was a vanilla cake with strawberry filling.

I know I haven't been posting anything for while and I am sorry but now to catch up. Here are some of the goodies I did for Valentine's Day: Chocolate and Lemon vegan cupcakes with vegan vanilla buttercream. And... ... a 'Be Mine' Chocolate Chip cookie cake.
Here is a cake I did last weekend for a Batman loving 2 year old. I also made cupcakes. I got asked to do an Elmo cake for a 2 year olds birthday. Love the colors. This is double chocolate cake with vanilla buttercream.
Have you heard of the new game Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure? It's where characters are ‘brought to life’ in a adventure game where children can collect real-world toys and teleport them directly into the game using a mystical Portal of Power. And I got asked to make the Portal of Power into a cake for a boy celebrating his birthday. I had no idea what that way and had to do my research and luckily I got to see and handle the actual portal of power. Here is the game's Portal of Power Now, here is my take on the magical Portal of Power that brings these characters to life along with some delicious cupcakes. Cake is double chocolate with buttercream filling.
Here is a cake I did for a 21st birthday. The birthday girl loves giraffes and is in Kappa Delta Chi sorority and the boyfriend wanted a cupcake in the mix. The cake is strawberry bottom tier, giraffe pattern and topped it with a giant pink cupcake. I made 2 fondant cake toppers, a giraffe and a penguin (the mascot of KDChi).
Wish you could see the sugar I covered the cake board in. My first cake of the new year. This was a vanilla cake done for a 17 year old girl who loves the series The Walking Dead.
UPDATE: 12/27/12: Yes Reddit, I am cakingcutie. Double chocolate cake pops dipped in white chocolate and covered in edible disco dust. An amazing way to bring in the new year!
My center piece for my table. My candle might not smell but I can eat it. ^_^
I saw a cake like this last year I believe and wanted to try it out. I did have trouble doing such a tall cake but like always it came together in the end. This is double chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream filling (need my chocolate fix before the new year). I carved out a hole on the top of the cake to be able to fit a tea light. |
