I gave these cupcakes to some friends of mine who call themselves as official taste testers. Lol. Starting from the far left they are 1) chocolate chili with sprinkled chili powder on buttercream frosting, 2) white russian with a kahlua buttercream frosting, 3) raspberry lemonade with a raspberry filling top with buttercream frosting, and 3) red velvet with cream cheese frosting. Yum!
Here are these cute barbecue themed cupcakes for the griller in you life (mine being my dad). These are chocolate cupcakes covered in black icing topped with a gray chocolate wafer grill. Grilling I have burger meat with and with out cheese and a sausage (see the grill marks) all made from flavored tootsie rolls. The fire coming from under the grill is a fruit roll-up cut to look like fire then grass to cover the edge of the cupcake and tada this is the outcome.
Here is a beautiful cupcake that is great for any occasion.
Made with marshmallows and colored sugar. Mmmm. <3 These are pineapple mango cupcakes.
Pineapple bread and mango buttercream icing are mini in size but pack lots of summer time flavors! I was feeling a little frisky and decided to make alcoholic infused cupcakes. I made white russian and coconut rum cupcakes. I have to say the white russian took the spot light but the coconut rum wasn't to far behind. I will defiantly have to make these again.
There was a grand opening of a restaurant today, Tres Mexican Restaurant, and I made cupcakes to celebrate. And it being a mexican restaurant what better way to top the cupcakes then with a chile. :) Aren't they spicy . . . lol Okay I am not to sure what you call this type of cake but I called it a tear apart cupcake cake, and this was my first one and it was pretty easy with some guided online tutorials. :) (Thank goodness for online tutorials!!!)
This is how i did mine. For this cake I used 19 cupcakes and tightly positioned them on my board with some buttercream on the bottom of the cupcake so that they don't move around. I filled in any holes where the cupcakes came together with buttercream. I then covered the tops of them with an even layer of pink buttercream (the evening out did take some time). After the buttercream was dry to the touch I traced the hello kitty face with a toothpick then outlined it with black buttercream. Then after outlining I filled it in with more colored buttercream. I used fondant for the whiskers. And tada my hello kitty tear apart cupcake cake. :) I am definitely going to do more of these. |
